Mr. Parkes joined Energy Investors Funds in 2007.  His responsibilities include originating, analyzing, structuring, and closing new fund investments, as well as investor relations and fundraising.  He joins the firm with nearly a decade of experience in the energy industry.  From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Parkes worked for ExxonMobil in Houston and Dallas, where he held financial analysis roles in the international corporate finance, investor relations, exploration, and chemicals groups.  Prior to his time at ExxonMobil, Mr. Parkes was in JPMorgan’s Power Investment Banking group in New York.  He began his career at McManus & Miles, a New York-based boutique investment bank specializing in the domestic electric power market.  Mr. Parkes received his BA in Economics from Columbia University in 1998 and his MBA from the Yale School of Management in 2004, where he spent his summer internship in Duke Energy’s M&A group in Charlotte, NC.
