Mr. Carlson joined EIF in 1994 and is primarily responsible for managing portfolio investments of funds under the Management Company’s management, with the additional responsibility of monitoring engineering, construction, start-up, performance testing, and operation activities of the assets of the portfolio companies under the Management Company’s management. He also provides technical and economic evaluation of project investment opportunities. He has over 20 years experience in energy financing, portfolio management, project development, and investment analysis. Prior to joining EIF, Mr. Carlson worked for Westinghouse Credit Corp. as a Manager of Investment Analysis for its energy group, with responsibilities for evaluating electric power generation projects and other energy investments, assisting in pricing negotiations, and post-investment asset management. Mr. Carlson has also held positions at Combustion Engineering, including its project development subsidiary, Power Projects, Inc., and at Exxon Chemicals Co. Mr. Carlson received a B.S. in Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
