Partner and General Counsel

Mr. January joined EIF in 2000 and oversees all legal issues for the Company. He also sits on the Executive and Investment Committees. From 1998 to May 2000, Mr. January served as Latin America Counsel for AEP Resources, Inc., the development subsidiary of American Electric Power. Stationed in Reston, Virginia, Mr. January oversaw the legal aspects of AEP’s investments in Brazil and Mexico, focusing on project finance, international tax, and general corporate law issues. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. January served as General Counsel to Intercontinental/Queenstake Resources Ltd., a natural resources company located in Denver, Colorado. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. January served as General Counsel to Communications Systems International, Inc., a telecommunications company located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. January holds a B.A. in Economics from Wayne State University and a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
