Mr. Missong joined EIF in 2001 and is responsible for originating, evaluating, analyzing, structuring, and closing of new fund investments, and monitoring portfolio assets of the Caribbean Basin Power Fund and USPF I. Mr. Missong joined EIF from Dresdner Kleinwort Capital where, from 1999 until 2001, he was seconded to a Dresdner-sponsored Latin American Infrastructure Fund focusing on mezzanine infrastructure investments in the power, toll-road, telecommunications, and water sectors. From 1994 until 1999, Mr. Missong was a member of the Energy, Utility, and Infrastructure Department of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in New York. In this capacity, he was active in many advisory/project finance transactions including privatization advisory work on a Central American airport and advisory assignments with the Mexican Electricity Authority on a $4 billion investment program. He worked at KPMG Germany from 1990-1992 on privatization assignments relating to the former East German coal, electricity, and retail industries. Mr. Missong received an M.A. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in 1994 and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Webster University. He has lived extensively in Latin America and Europe and is fluent in various languages, including Spanish.
