ENERGY INVESTORS FUNDS ADDS INVESTMENT PROFESSIONAL TO ITS MILL VALLEY, CA OFFICE

SAN FRANCISCO, CA  (August 20, 2007) Energy Investors Funds (“EIF”), an established private equity fund manager that invests in the U.S. energy and electric power sector, is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Parkes as Senior Associate in the Mill Valley office.  Mr. Parkes will work with both the investment and marketing teams at EIF.

Mr. Parkes joins EIF from ExxonMobil in Houston, TX where he spent three years working in a variety of roles, including corporate finance and investor relations.  Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Mr. Parkes had four years of energy/power investment banking experience at JPMorgan and McManus & Miles in New York, as well as serving as an MBA summer intern in Duke Energy’s M&A group. 

Mr. Parkes represents the third new hire by Energy Investors Funds following its recent successful closing of the firm’s seventh and largest institutional fund to date, the United States Power Fund III, L.P., with $1.35 billion in commitments.
