Senior Vice President

Jose A. Torres-Monllor is a member of EIF’s Investment Committee.  He joined the Firm in 2006 and is responsible for originating, analyzing, structuring, and closing new fund investments.  Mr. Torres has 16 years of relevant industry experience.

Prior to joining EIF, Mr. Torres held various roles in power project and infrastructure finance.  Most recently, he served as Sector Vice President and Head of the Structured Finance Group at Cobank.  He was responsible for a $1 billion portfolio of structured finance transactions.  Prior to Cobank, he served as Vice President in the Project and Sectorial Finance Group of Societe Generale in New York and as Vice President in the Utilities, Project Finance & Advisory Group at ING Barings in New York.  Mr. Torres earned an international M.B.A. from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, AZ.  He received a B.A. in business/economics from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs.
